What I'm Into :: November, 2013 {photo-edition}

I wrote an entire post, but an evil glitch deleted it. So, in the spirit of making do with what I had left, here is what I was into in November, and I'm letting the photos do the talking:

Brianna & James got married on the first Saturday of November

Some fun with my hun

Sheila & Eric got married on the last Saturday in November.
This was Eric's reaction to seeing his bride Sheila

For Review

Thomas Nelson recently released The Compass Study Bible, with a focus on the following:
Through a series of focus groups and research, a need was discovered and reiterated by consumers for a new type of Bible that helped them find answers but didn’t tell them what to do or how to live their lives.

Written in The Voice translation, Compass Study Bible aims to provide a non-threatening package of God’s Word that becomes a companion to the work-a-day person. Compass is meant to help readers become more in step with a biblical worldview by providing points of connection between issues of everyday living and the biblical narrative.
This is a unique translation of the Bible that is structured in play instead of narrative format. Also, God is referred to as "Eternal One." Although it isn't exactly a version that I would consider as my go-to Bible, I think it's a helpful tool for a younger generation. For those who would like a less cumbersome approach to the Old Testament, this could be a valuable reference. Theologically, some of the contributing authors tend to be more liberal-minded progressive types, so I would recommend parents review certain articles within Compass before gifting it to their children.

Oh, I'm so sorry you lost the post! But pictures are worth a 1000 words and all that. Glad Greg's Kickstarter is funded. Your Christmas card photo is awesome! I hate to tell you but I stopped watching New Girl this season. Hopefully you last longer.
